Large Struveaspis Trilobite From Jorf - 2.83"

This is a large specimen of an interesting type of recently described phacopid, Struveaspis bignoni. Two defining characteristics of Struveaspis that seperate it from most phacopids is it's smooth shell and very tiny eyes with few lenses. These trilobites are quarried at Jorf near Erfoud, Morocco. There is a few areas of shell restoration on this specimen where the shell was lost during collection, <5%
