This is a 3.75" long fish crush plate (Eodiaphyodus sp.) from the Phosphate Deposits of Khouribga, Morocco. This is a part of the jaw of a fish that was used to crush marine invertebrates. Eodiaphyodus is an extinct genus of fish that had crushing teeth instead of cutting teeth, aiding in feeding on mollusks and crustaceans like crabs.
