TSAVORITE FOR SALE

Tsavorite is a very rare and bright green chromium and vanadium-bearing variety of grossular garnet hailing from the incredibly diverse mineral belts of Kenya and Tanzania. Scottish-born Kenyan gemologist Campbell R. Bridges first found tsavorite in northeastern Tanzania in 1974. It was named after Tsavo East National Park in Kenya, near Campbell's discovery site. Sir Henry Platt, a former president of Tiffany and Co., suggested the name.

Due to its brilliant green color, luster, rarity, and aptitude for cutting as a garnet, tsavorite is a sought-after gemstone.
