Fossil Fly, Scale Insect, Mite and Two Springtails in Baltic Amber
This is a detailed cluster of insects in 44 million year old Baltic amber. The insects include a detailed fossil fly (order Diptera), a scale insect (suborder Sternorrhyncha), a mite (subclass Acari) and two springtails (subclass Collembola).
As a reminder, most inclusions in baltic amber are extremely small so magnification will be needed to make out much detail. Included with your order is a physical photo of the specimen, and we will also email you a high resolution digital copy.
