Fossil Brittle Star (Ophiura) & Edrioasteroids - Morocco

This is a cool specimen from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. There is a 2.5" wide brittle star (Ophiura) associated with several detailed Edrioasteroid (Spinadiscus lefebvrei) fossils. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.

The entire piece measures 6.6 x 4.4". There is a couple of crack repairs in the piece. It comes with an acrylic display stand.
