2.4" Sulfur Crystals & Strontianite on Matrix - Italy

This is a stunning, 2.4" wide sulfur crystal cluster, collected from the Cianciana Mine in Sicily, Italy. The crystals on the specimen are beautifully formed and can be found throughout the matrix. The strontianite formed as a druzy aggregation.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.

The chemical composition of sulfur crystal is S8, meaning 8 sulfur atoms bonded together to form a sulfur molecule. The crystal structure is typically tabular or as blocky dipyramids that form in sedimentary rock.
