Two Fossil Willow Leaves (Salix) - Green River Formation, Utah

This is an impressive fossil willow (Salix) leaf from the Green River Formation, Utah. It is in very good condition and the dark leaf stands out against the lighter stone. The large leaf section is not likely related to the small leaf tip near it, but the are the same species, Salix linearis.

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
