Three Complete Crinoid Fossils With Trilobites - Morocco

This interesting piece features three, rusty-red, crinoid fossils with intact crowns, long stems and a ball-shaped holdfasts. It is quite unusual to find crinoid fossils complete from the crown on down to the holdfast. There is also a complete trilobite and several partial trilobites on the piece.

The red coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite which originally preserved the fossil. The rock measures 11.7 x 10.3"
