Fossil Leaves, Bee and Beetle - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a well-preserved fossil plate that contains 2 leaves (Cedrelospermum nervosa), a bee (order Hymenoptera) and a small beetle (order Coleoptera) from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. In addition to the above mentioned fossils, this specimen also contains an unidentified seed pod.

While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
