Bargain, 12.8" Phareodus Fish Fossil - Wyoming

This is a bargain, Phareodus collected this summer from the Green River Formation. It's 12.8" long and wonderfully detailed but it bargain priced due to a repaired crack with some restoration running through the slab and the middle of the fish. Comes with an acrylic display stand or we can add a backing and wall hanger upon request.

If you look closely you can see how Phareodus has a mouthful of sharp pointy teeth making is a voracious lake predator. In fact the name Phareodus actually means "to have tooth" Spines from other fish such as Mioplosus and Priscacara have frequently been found preserved in it's stomach.
