7.1" Fossil Marlin (Swordfish) Rostrum - Miocene

This is a fossilized, upper rostrum (bill) of a Miocene aged Marlin (Swordfish). It was found in Georgia while hunting for Megalodon teeth. It would have come out of the Hawthorn Formation and the species would most likely have been Makaira calvertensis. It's very solid and 7.1inches in length.
