4.5" Brachylophosaur Vertebra With Associated Tyrannosaur Tooth!

This is a spectacular specimen from the Judith River Formation in Montana. It is an excellent 4.5" tall Brachylophosaur vertebra with a well-preserved, 1.45" long Tyrannosaur tooth naturally attached to the side of it. There is also some fossil turtle shell associated in the matrix containing the tooth. A really cool association of predator and prey, and one might think that the tooth could represent one lost while the Tyrannosaur was making a meal of the Brachylophosaur carcass.

The collector labeled the tooth as Daspletosaurus, though there are several known Tyrannosaurs from the formation and really no way of telling individual teeth apart. The vertebra is in excellent condition with only some minor crack repair, and it comes with a custom metal display stand. A really special piece!
