4.4" Acadoparadoxides Trilobite - Stunning Preservation

This is a elegant, orange, 4.4" long Acadoparadoxides trilobite. There are several species of Acadoparadoxides from this formation and I'm not 100% confident on which one of them this is. It has a natural, orange coloration due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. Many of the plueral tips and the right genal spine have some restoration. These spine tips tend to not be well preserved in many specimens so the preparators touch them up

Comes with a display stand.

Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods. They first appeared in the fossil record in the Early Cambrian (521 million years ago) and went extinct during the Permian mass extinction (250 million years ago). They were one of the most successful of the early animals on our planet: over 25,000 species have been described, filling nearly every evolutionary niche. Due in large part to their hard exoskeletons (shells), they left an excellent fossil record.
