.3" Fossil Beetle (Coleoptera) - Green River Formation, Utah

This is an unidentified fossil Beetle (order Coleoptera) from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah. The shape of this beetle resembles a Scarab beetle, however the lack of preservation detail makes it difficult to identify. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
