2.9" Unidentified Fossil Leaf - Glendive Montana

This is a detailed unidentified fossil leaf from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. It is from the Paleocene, or approximately 60 million years old. The dark orange preservation contrasts well against the shale, and all the veins of the leaves can be seen in good relief. An unidentified Plant fragment is also visible. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where some of it flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen includes an acrylic display stand.
