2.2 Inch Thysanopeltis Trilobite - Spiny Butt

This is a nicely prepared example of the Middle Devonian trilobite Thysanopeltis speciosa from Mount Issoumour, Morocco. What is so distinctive about this trilobite is the fringe of pygidial (tail) spines. This example has a little bit of disarticulation between the body and the tail but is well prepared with no restoration work done to it. Check out the detail in the photos.
