1.7" Spine-On-Spine Koneprusia Trilobite - Best Of The Best!

This is an incredible Koneprusia trilobite collected near Ofaten, Morocco. The preparation on this one is as good as it gets, preserving all of the minute shell details including secondary spines on the spines. The work is so good, it even preserves a feature I have never previously seen on a Koneprusia, pairs of tiny vertical spines on each segment. These spines are so delicate, even the most careful air abrading destroys them, and a tiny bit of rock had to be be left on each spine to support them.

Well over 100 hours of work under microscope by one of the very best preparators in the world went into this spectacular, museum quality specimen. There is no restoration on the specimen, and the rock has been left as natural as possible free of tool marks.
